A new Olympia SM3 or Another Olympia SM3

The moss green SM3 in its as received uncleaned form

You can see above how the x,c,v keys sit lower than the others.

Mmmmm,  nothing like a segment to appeal to those of us who enjoy symmetry in mechanical devices

The original rubber spacers removed from the SM3

  1. It's a beautiful machine. But it looks like someone was frustrated that it couldn't cut, copy, and paste.

I don't have any helpful advice. You are more skilled than me if you already know to replace the rubber spacers. (My typewriter repairman told me about that.)

    1. Thanks John, excellent observation on the X,C,V! hah. My skill has been found to be wanting with this issue, it all seems ok with the linkages all the way back...must be a pivot point somewhere which is altering the angle of the bars...I just can't figure it out from my Munk Bibles (oh heavens!)
